DESCRIPTION:Pacuare Fest 2022 is a tribute to the Pacuare River for its invaluable contribution to whitewater sports and its historical\, natural\, and cultural richness. The third annual event happens Oct. 20 – 23\, 2022. Part of its mission is to call attention to an environmental project to study the endangered Bobo fish in the Pacuare River. \n\nOct. 20: Hike to the indigenous Cabecar community of Tsiobata.  Open to the public.\nOct. 21: Paddling run on the Upper Pacuare Class 5 section for experienced raft guides and kayakers.\nOct. 22: National extreme kayaking competition — Down River Kayak Race — in the Upper Pacuare Class 5 section.\nOct. 23: Rafting/kayaking trip down the commercial section of the Pacuare River (Class 3-4). Open to the public.
