What Does a Wedding at Rios Lodge Look Like?

You are about to plan one of the most exciting adventures of your life! We are here to help you get hitched without a hitch. Our team will ensure you have a seamless and unforgettable Costa Rica wedding. 

We minimize stressful travel logistics by offering San Jose hotel pickups for the three-hour drive to the Rios Lodge rafting and hiking meeting center. From there, we get you to the river put-in and the start of the hike. Bilingual, expert guides escort you via a raft trip or moderate hike into the lodge.

Please note: The only way to reach the lodge is via a moderate hike or a rafting trip. All wedding guests must be able to raft or hike to reach Rios Lodge.

We offer multiple wedding packages to accommodate different wedding group sizes. You can choose from renting a set of rooms, the ecohostel bunkhouse, or the entire lodge for your Costa Rica wedding.

All meals are included during your retreat on the Pacuare River. We offer delicious, fresh, and primarily locally sourced dishes with options to accommodate any food allergies or dietary restrictions. The wedding couple can even plan and create a custom meal plan that reflects their taste.

We offer several activities to introduce you and your guests to the area around the Pacuare River. Enjoy hiking, horseback riding, ziplining, waterfall hikes, conservation tours, and more, perfect for filling the time before and after the wedding celebration.
Enjoy a fully-stocked happy hour or drinks during meals with a full-service bar. Guests can purchase drinks with easy payment options at the bar.

Costa Rica Wedding Venue FAQs
Plan ahead as there are limited dates for reserving the entire lodge, and popular dry season dates can book up quickly. Six months to a year out is great for bigger weddings or renting out the entire lodge. Smaller weddings, parties, and elopements can often be handled 3 months out.
We can accommodate up to 46 people in the 17 lodge rooms and suites, and up to 64 people in the ecohostel. Total guest capacity is 110.
Dry season of January, February, March, April, and late November through early December are popular months to have a wedding in Costa Rica. Our popular dry season dates can book up quickly, so book early to reserve your ideal wedding date. Green season is also a time of year to consider, with the benefits of low season pricing.

We highly recommend spending at least 3 to 4 days at Rios Lodge for your wedding celebration to ensure you have time to experience the beauty of the area and enjoy the entirety of your wedding destination.
